These Public Art Installations were created by Tracey Springford and Taylor Venturini to enrich the lives of festival participants and have grown to serve any public event seeking to bring those around us closer together.

Mission
This installation was founded on the five fundamental pillars of California Central Coast's Shabang Music festival; in San Luis Obispo. These doors are given direction toward our past, present, and future; representing the best of the Central Coast, Overflowing Music & Experiential Art, Good Vibes, Community Participation, Inclusion & Social Responsibility. A sixth mirrored door acts as a physical symbol of reflection upon all of these values by a mirrored door frame which will allow the viewers to see themselves as a reflection of all five pillars. The goal of this project fosters community built on inclusion and creativity and now serves any community that wishes for our doors to take a stand.

LABRYNTH
Vision
In creating the concept for Labyrinth: Open Doors, we seek to promote sustainability, social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression. Through this methodology we aim to instill these values in the guests.

We took 6 thrifted doors and created completely different portals independent of one another leading into the minds of our imagination to create a grand collective for this installation, encouraging others to open themselves to creative outlet opportunities alongside us.
We want our work to cultivate a community dedicated to passion for continuing an appreciation of the arts. We hope to inspire others to adopt the role of advocate, protector, enthusiast, and lifetime learner in the hope of extending the support of artistic expression.

Mission
In creating the concept for HERE: Release Yourself to the Present, we seek to promote social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression. In making this sculpture we intend to not only create an immersive artistic rendering that will impact the viewers, but will become an asset to the memories created at this festival and provide a lasting experience to be shared with others. We want my work to cultivate a community dedicated to passion for continuing and appreciation of the arts. We hope to inspire others to adopt the role of advocate, protector, enthusiast, and lifetime learner in the hope of extending the support of artistic expression.
Vision
This installation is constructed of multi-colored 3-dimensional acrylic glass letters spelling the word, “HERE.” This word was chosen because people often use this word to oriant themselves or to describe where they are. Ironically, you could say you are “here” but not fully allow yourself to be mentally present. In regards to the interactive element of this piece, Alongside the sculpture, a stand is placed where people can write down and seal a secret, thought, or worry, giving the community an opportunity for release from what is written so they are able to be present in the moment – being HERE, now. There is a single slit in each letter in which festival participants will be prompted to insert their writings into the sealed interior of a letter of their choosing. This collective interaction aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of community, in that no one is alone within the weight of circumstance following the events of COVID, hoping to elevate the value of each person's presence.
